I opened Graphite Gallery in 2009 with the intention of showing contemporary work with a clean edge, a narrative focus, and with luck, something we’ve never seen before. With my team, I continue to pursue that goal.

Agnes Martin, Mark Rothko, David Hockney, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Vincent Van Gogh, Piet Mondrian, Nick Cave... ask me tomorrow and it will be a different list.

Ryan Crawford | Gallerist

Originally from Charleston, Ryan worked for his university gallery for three years as assistant to the Dean of Arts before moving to Chicago where he freelanced as an art handler. While in Chicago he helped lead the premier architecture and Frank Lloyd Wright tour for a year before moving to New Orleans and building a new tour company. Ryan has been with Graphite since 2014 working with Taylor as his right hand.
