JUST BETWEEN US
Just Between Us, suggests the private, sometimes unspoken exchanges that define how we relate to one another. These paintings echo that intimacy, inviting the viewer to inhabit the ambiguity, to question what is revealed and what is performed, and to linger in the in-between.
In these constructed realities, vulnerability wears a mask, and connection is found not in certainty, but in shared disorientation. This body of work does not aim to resolve the narrative, but to hold space for its unfolding. It asks: What stories do we carry with us? What parts do we play? And what exists in that quiet space—just between us?

MEET THE ARTIST
Described as elusive and happily odd, Joshua's work echoes the philosophy of absurdist playwrights and deconstructed sets. Receiving his Master of Fine Arts from Louisiana Tech University and his Bachelors of Art from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, Joshua's work has been published in New American Paintings, Creative Quarterly, and Studio Visit Magazine. His works are in the permanent collections of the Masur Museum of Art in Louisiana, the Lessedra Gallery in Bulgaria, and numerous private collections. Chambers lives in Bossier Parish with his wife Leigh and their daughter Sophia.
